21 June - Summer Solstice

The locks were mounted on the cupboard doors yesterday, and Hugh has also varnished the display interior. Today we started putting the glass into the display cabinets. All the plinths have now been undercoated grey.

One of next week's jobs is to install the mini spot lights which have been chosen...

we also started to scrape down and sand the external windows and vents...lots more painting to do next week!

The outer doors of the display cabinets have now been glossed...

The plinths have all been primed, and the first of the old display stands have been shortened

7 June

Things are moving apace in the Friends' Room this week...the wooden plinths have all been fitted over the old generator blocks, and the inside of the display cupboards have been given an undercoat. The glass for the upper units is due to be delivered Tuesday.
