The display of weapons is steadily taking place

The maps have been hung on the Foyer wall

The arch has now been repainted with Tobacco brown

The Monday team in action! The electrical team have now completed the lighting installation which includes spot down lighters in the cabinets

28 June

Our Foreman surveys the site after another productive day...Dinah has been busy painting the old cabinet

21 June - Summer Solstice

The locks were mounted on the cupboard doors yesterday, and Hugh has also varnished the display interior. Today we started putting the glass into the display cabinets. All the plinths have now been undercoated grey.

One of next week's jobs is to install the mini spot lights which have been chosen...

we also started to scrape down and sand the external windows and vents...lots more painting to do next week!

14 June

The outer doors of the display cabinets have now been glossed...

The plinths have all been primed, and the first of the old display stands have been shortened

7 June

Things are moving apace in the Friends' Room this week...the wooden plinths have all been fitted over the old generator blocks, and the inside of the display cupboards have been given an undercoat. The glass for the upper units is due to be delivered Tuesday.

The new display cabinets were installed over the weekend, and the painting team sprang into action today!
